We develop over 20 sustainable, cost-effective ingredients and products from microalgae, setting new standards for affordable, sustainable microalgae products. These ingredients and products target multiple industries, with the most promising ones reaching industrial-scale production and readiness for market uptake by autumn 2029. 

The products and ingredients we develop serve as practical examples, demonstrating how microalgae can support the transition to circular, bio-based industries and encouraging companies to adopt microalgae in their own products and processes.

We develop biopesticides with microalgae compounds, which we test for efficacy in controlling fungal diseases of lettuce including Fusarium wilt, southern blight, Alternaria leaf spot and grey mould.

Cell culture media

We develop an alternative to fetal bovine serum, the most widely used serum-supplement to grow animal cells. Our alternative is based on microalgae extracts with comparable functional properties, which we test for cultivation of fish and pork cells.
